Berwick Community Trust works to make it better for residents, businesses and visitors to live, work and play in Berwick upon Tweed. Our projects include lending event equipment to community groups, building a wind turbine and supporting older residents to lead active lives. All the profit generated from our activities is reinvested in Berwick for the good of residents.

Berwick Community Trust was established in 2004 with the mission to secure a prosperous and vibrant Berwick-upon-Tweed.

It is a charity that works exclusively for the benefit of the town through a broad programme of projects and services. It does this through continuous investment in its people and properties. It is involved in initiatives as diverse as supporting Berwick’s public nursery provision to delivering major regeneration schemes.

To enable the Trust to do its work it draws grant funding from foundations, local and central government. The management of social projects and the letting of offices and meeting space at its home in the William Elder Building on Castlegate. To date the Trust has invested over £3 million in Berwick.
