The Hidden Community Garden.  Ardler garden is tucked away at the side of the Local Community centre and is hidden behind the local NHS clinic.

The garden is approximately 5 acres between Bridge Street and Shiell Street. There are trees and shrubs and several habitats including: Scree beds with natural rock, a heather bed, fernery, 'Snowdrop Wood', primula border and a glasshouse which is the information centre and meeting point.

Bonnie Dundee (IYN) is a group of enthusiastic volunteers who maintain several areas in the city centre ( William Gardiner Square  at the back of the Overgate, planters at the Science Centre, planters  in Union Street and  Westport and a garden in Slessor Gardens on the waterside of Janetta's famous ice cream  🍦 😊  We care for our environment and practice climate friendly gardening e.g. grow flowers from seed, hold litter picks and help spread the word about the importance of biodiversity and pollinating insects.

Dawson Park Community Garden

We are a community garden based in Dawson Park, Dundee. The garden is run by SAMH (Scottish Association of Mental Health) and a large group of volunteers. We have self referral to a horticultural therapy programme or you can drop in to garden with us or just to explore the garden and plant sale area.

Douglas Community Park is a public green space with accessible play equipment and picnic area, multi-use gaming area, outdoor gym equipment, and a bike repair station. Developed and managed by a group of local Trustees through Douglas Community Spaces Group; and working in collaboration with Douglas Fruit & Vegetable Growers' Association, Douglas Food Cupboard, Douglas Community Centre Local Management Group and Dundee City Council.

We are a garden for armed forces veterans and ex blue-light service personnel which provides a relaxed atmosphere and beautiful outdoor space in which attendees can improve their physical, psychological and social wellbeing.

Edible Botanics - at Dundee Botanic Gardens

Edible Botanics is a project that looks to bring people closer to edible nature by growing food, as well as herbs that are used in medicine, in the most natural way. Our aim is to show that there is no need for a big growing space to bring fresh food to your table. We celebrate eating seasonally and sharing knowledge of heritage seeds, while maintaining a minimal carbon footprint.

The garden is the old bowling green in Fairmuir Park now being used by the community to grow flowers and vegetables and hold community events. Everyone is welcome to help out in any way they can or simply sit on a bench and enjoy the garden.

Fintry Community Garden

Fintry Community Garden is a new community garden being set up in the Fintry area of Dundee, Scotland. Dundee has several already established community gardens, however, none in this area, therefore we felt Fintry was missing something special. We believe that Fintry needs a green space, where people from all walks of life can come and enjoy a shared garden. That may be just for a walk through the garden, to come and relax or to come and volunteer to help out.

Our garden is south facing in the Maryfield area of Dundee and consists of a number raised beds ,orchard, pond, polytunnel x2 sheds and soft fruit border.

Community food growing Garden. A place where you can help grow fruit and veg in a large open space on the site formerly used as Lochee Park Bowling Green. Individual raised beds and shared communal growing spaces and communal raised beds. Poly Tunnel, Pond, Orchard and Raspberry Maze. We have areas set aside for nature, which include our pond, which with help from "Froglife was cleared out to allow more water area. We also have a "Bee Bed" which was set up with help from "Repollinate" to attract more pollinators in to the garden.  Indoor space for volunteers use available in bowling club pavilion.

Nilupul Foundation is a health and wellbeing charity  based in Reform St in Dundee. 

Ninewells Community Garden

The garden is located in the arboretum in the grounds of Ninewells Hospital and aims to promote physical activity and good health through community gardening; supporting wellbeing, therapy and rehabilitation. The garden includes wheelchair accessible paths, herbaceous borders, vegetable beds, picnic area, garden room and mud kitchen.

PLANT Community Garden

PLANT runs a Community Garden that local volunteers manage and maintain. We garden organically, with respect for biodiversity, promoting climate-friendly gardens to the Tayport community. We provide locally-grown vegetables and promote a love of wildlife, growing things and the outdoors to our children.

Queens Street Community Garden

Queen Street was started by guerrilla gardeners from Grove Academy. Now the site is a thriving growing space for  brownies, rainbows, Sunday School groups and Grove pupils.

Our garden produces food that is used in our food project and cafe - to provide nourishing meals to people that need them. Plus the garden is a lovely outside space for those who use the Roundhouse.

Shiell St is a match of colour created by Grove Academy pupils. It has some raised beds for food growing, a pond for our local frogs and a wide range of wildflowers sown and grown to promote biodiversity.

Our garden brings together people of all ages, cultures and backgrounds. We run over 20 sessions weekly to learn, play, create, grow and cook. We have counted over 350 edible plants grow in our walled garden at the heart of the Hilltown! Everyone is welcome.

Our garden is based at Dudhope Castle, where we have little pockets of earth friendly greenery, all focused on rewilding and adding biodiversity to our community. Our gardens provide opportunities for people from all backgrounds to gain volunteering experience, learn gardening skills, give back to the environment, learn practical skills and socialise.

Our aim is promote environmental awareness and sustainability using as examples, offer people a place to relax, a way to engage with nature, to share what we know, learn new skills, spend quality time together and grow. With the support of local groups we are looking of provide quality and healthy food and to engage local people in community action.
