Come along to our friendly and fun events to learn about food growing and nature: music, food, workshops, open days, mindfulness or craft, for all ages and abilities. Most events are free.
The group meets on Tuesdays at the Community Garden’s Forest Garden from 10.15 till 11.30 am. It is parent/carer led and is free for anyone with a child who is not in school. No need to book, just come along. We do growing and gardening!
Be part of something amazing!!! Working with Dundee's Play Forum & friends we will be creating costumes and props to signify garden creatures, veggies, fairies and gardeners. The compost Queen will be joining us plus a Giant Ant! Lots of flowers too. Let your imagination run wild. We will be parading from the Maxwell down the Hilltown to Eadie's Park. Meet at the Maxwell at 3.30pm to get ready to parade!
In the run up to Scotland's Climate week we are hosting a Wildlife Fair. Joined by the RSPB, Buglife, The Dundee city council Rangers and Urban Releaf we will be showcasing loads of climate friendly ideas to promote and protect wildlife. Enjoy some tasty treats and music plus our monthly Plant Swap.
Join us for a fun and educational workshop focused on creating bug hotels and exploring the fascinating world of insects and toadstools. The more beneficial insects we have in our gardens the better for the garden and the planet.
No need to book, just turn up and join the picking group in the Park then enjoy a cuppa or some soup in the Maxwell centre. This is a monthly group and we meet the first Monday in the month.
Our Meet and Eat nights are loads of fun and the food is so tasty!! Join in the evening and we will be looking at all the ways to preserve and save veggies over the Winter. No waste at the Maxwell! Bring along some home grown produce.
