What's On

The group meets on Tuesdays at the Community Garden’s Forest Garden from 10.15 till 11.30 am. It is parent/carer led and is free for anyone with a child who is not in school. No need to book, just come along.  We do growing and gardening!

A social group run by Alzheimer's UK for people affected by dementia. The group has its own bed in the Community Garden and meets at the Scout Hall.

Plateful is a new project all about cooking, connecting and sharing food together.

Come along to the Maxwell Garden and find out all you need to know about effective pruning of your Apple and Pear Trees in the Winter.   We will provide the equipment you need and we can get hands on with our Urban Orchard.  Beginners welcome.  

You may well think that nature has closed down for the Winter but we will be out and about in the park enjoying a Winter walk and seeing what we can find.  Birds, beasties and fungi are all there if you know where to look.  Learn a bit about using the iNaturalist app to identify what we find.  All welcome.  We will come back to the garden for a nice warming cuppa and some cake afterwards. 

We are excited to be running an RSPB Garden Birdwatch.  This is a great chance to do a bit of citizen science and have a relaxing spell in the garden observing and counting our feathered friends.  Everyone is welcome.  

Join us for a fun session learning all about what we can grow at this time of year.  You only need a windowsill.  We will be sowing peas, sweet peas and growing sprouts and looking at best places to source seeds.  Loads to do and it's only January!

There will be Lantern making, stories and a fire pit to cosy around with some tasty food.  Join in the celebration of the Earth waking up again!

A wonderful workshop all about creating new plants from seeds and cuttings.  It's hardwood cutting time!

Get creative in the Garden at our sign-making session.  Highlight your favourite plant or area in your garden with a handmade sign.   All materials supplied. Everyone is Welcome.
