Come along to our friendly and fun events to learn about food growing and nature: music, food, workshops, open days, mindfulness or craft, for all ages and abilities. Most events are free.
Our Meet and Eat nights are loads of fun and the food is so tasty!! Join in the evening and we will be looking at all the ways to preserve and save veggies over the Winter. No waste at the Maxwell! Bring along some home grown produce.
The group meets on Tuesdays at the Community Garden’s Forest Garden from 10.15 till 11.30 am. It is parent/carer led and is free for anyone with a child who is not in school. No need to book, just come along. We do growing and gardening!
We are hosting a workshop all about how to preserve food by fermentation. A traditional preservation technique used for centuries. Rachel will be leading us in the session as we learn how to avoid food waste and build up our store cupboards for the Winter. It's a fab way to save excess veggies.
Join us for a bulb planting session in the garden. Bring along a nice pot to plant with your bulb lasagne about 30cm in diameter. We will supply all the bulbs for a great Spring display.
Our fun, FREE workshop will be in the garden looking at the beauty of nature and learning how to take plaster casts of the amazing shapes and forms that surround us and we may not even notice! Join our talented artist Manuela in the garden.
No need to book, just turn up and join the picking group in the Park then enjoy a cuppa or some soup in the Maxwell centre. This is a monthly group and we meet the first Monday in the month.
