We are a group of like-minded growers and gardeners who have come together as a friendly network to share knowledge, ideas and enthusiasm. What brought us together was a desire to reduce food waste, grow more of our own fresh produce and raise the profile of the amazing growing that is already going on all over Dundee. The city has a rich history of growing and allotments.
The network began as a small group of growing spaces meeting up every few months, sharing homemade food and ideas. The sites are very varied, some have paid staff, some are purely volunteer run, and they vary in size from a few acres to a raised planter in the City Centre. They all have the same goal of being sustainable, cherishing the environment and sharing that passion for growing.
To get involved you can check out volunteering opportunities and a variety of events taking place in growing spaces across the city.
Our wider community of food growers and foragers in Dundee shares resources, events and ideas on the Grow Dundee – Community Facebook group which any grower or group is welcome to join.
If you would like to set up your own community garden or have one and would like to join the network please get in touch and check out further information about what we do and how we work together.
