being in a garden and being part of a small friendly team?
Volunteer for a morning session, an afternoon session, or for the whole day! We garden for our mental health and are supported by Scottish Action for Mental Health (SAMH). Drop in for a chat about volunteering and together we can imagine how to use your unique skills to contribute to our wildlife friendly space.
Biodiversity surveys can be carried out any time you're passing by, and takes between 5 to 15 minutes to complete. Scan the QR code or use the link: https://eweu.uk/SyV3rY to be taken to a list of insect surveys complete with instructions. Take part in a nationwide citizen science data collection effort! (Please note, ground dweller surveys should ideally only be done once a day.)
We are meeting in the garden and tackling many jobs! From pruning to working on our mixed orchard, you can join in whether you have got lots of gardening skills or simply a willingness to get stuck in and learn. We'll also have time for a cup of tea, a sweet treat, and a wee chatter in the community pantry. Everyone is welcome! Hope to see you there!
We are looking for someone with a bit of knowledge and experience and lots of passion to help us make our community garden as productive as it can be. Victoria Gardens is an exciting urban growing/social space located on the edge of Balgay Park. We have exciting plans for the space including a community kitchen and picnic benches.

There are a whole range of different ways to help - sowing seeds, digging, weeding, harvesting fruit, The work is done at a relaxed and easy pace with time tea breaks and socialising.
Come and help look after the PLANT Community Garden, the work varies with the seasons but we grow fruit, vegetables and flowers with an organic approach.

Catherine and her colleagues are responsible for most of the wonderful planting you see around the city centre of Dundee. They do a huge amount of planting for pollinators and increasing the biodiversity within the centre. Anything that flowers and is good for the bees might be spotted in the planters.
