The German-British Friendship Award was awarded to our very own George Laidlaw (Volunteer at Shiell St and Queen St community gardens and all-round Super hero!). George is Chair of the Dundee-Wurzburg Twinning Association. The award was presented by Her Excellency Ambassador Susanne Baumann.
She said' The German-British' Friendship award is a prestigious award conferred upon members of the public who render outstanding services to German-UK relations.'
George said 'I am deeply honoured to receive this award in recognition of my efforts to deepen German-British relations and keeping people connected. I am just doing something I enjoy, which has given me so many friendships in return. It is indeed an honour for myself and my wife Molly- who introduced me to Wurzburg.'
