We foraged in the local Hilltown Park for pine cones, holly and conifer foliage. We even managed to find some local holly with berries on it.
We used a wreath ring and a roll of florist wire then we layered up the foliage. Starting with a layer of conifer we then added holly and some berries and cones. We had dried out our own lemon slices and wired them on. You could use orange slices too and you can buy them pre-dried if it's easier. If holly is not your thing you can use any type of evergreen foliage. Once you get started the beauty of your own wreath is that you can add whatever embellishments you like. We also used cinnamon sticks and teasel heads, we tried to keep ours as natural as possible.
