We are building Dudhope Castle Gardens to make a welcoming space for humans and wildlife. We want this space to be a place for people to build their awareness of and connection with their local environment.
We are building several outdoor features to encourage visitors human and otherwise.
We grow herbs, vegetables, fruit and flowers. To promote biodiversity we try and plant a variety of native plants. We build outdoor art pieces and woodwork furniture using reclaimed materials.
Volunteers maintain the garden; weeding, watering, planting and pruning. As well as day to day maintenance, there are bigger features to build, such as sculptures, raised beds, wooden instruments and more.
